INTRODUCTION
Welcome. My name is Steve Walsh and I work independently in a workshop in Bideford, North Devon which I share with three other furniture restorers. From
there I offer a complete antique furniture restoration service
aimed at sympathetically returning damaged items to their full
potential without interfering with the patination and depth of finish
which have developed over the years.
From veneer repairs,
invisible patches and finish reviving to the remaking of missing
components and if required complete french polishing, all aspects of the
restoration process are catered for.

Metalwork such as lock repair, key making, silver-soldering and the copying or repair of brass components is undertaken.
Any style of turning can be reproduced, from small finials and knobs to large structural turnings such as table legs.
Desk leathers can be restored or replaced and tooled to customers' requirements. I also restore torn or perished surfaces on leather furniture.
Traditional
upholstery work is carried out in conjunction with a trusted local craftsman.
